This project has concluded.
After a two-year recess in city utilities, which includes garbage, sewer and water shut offs, the City is transitioning to requiring Merced residents who have fallen behind on their City services utility bill to pay the delinquent balance on their account.
Utility customers with a balance more than 60 days past due may have their water services disconnected beginning September 7, 2022.
Residents interested in setting up a payment plan can contact the City of Merced finance department via email at ubpaymentplans@cityofmerced.org, or by calling (209) 385-6841.
Residents interested in inquiring about eligibility for a one-time American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) relief payment on their delinquent utility account can call (209) 388-8623.
