What is the Yosemite Avenue Roadway Reconstruction Project?

The Yosemite Avenue Roadway Reconstruction Project is a major infrastructure improvement initiative that will upgrade the road, sewer system, traffic signals, and pedestrian access along Yosemite Avenue, from G Street to Parsons Avenue. The project includes road expansion, sewer main replacement, and other key upgrades to improve safety, traffic flow, and utility infrastructure.

What work will be done as part of the project?

The project includes the following key improvements:

    • Replacement of approximately 5,147 feet of sewer main (upgrading from an 18” to a 30” main).
    • Upgrades to traffic signals at Yosemite Ave & G Street, Yosemite Ave & Mansionette Drive, and Yosemite Ave & Paulson Ave.
    • Full-depth reconstruction of the roadway, adding two lanes to make Yosemite Avenue a four-lane road from G Street to Parsons Avenue.
    • Slurry seal on Yosemite Avenue from Mansionette Drive to G Street and an asphalt overlay at the intersection of Yosemite Avenue and G Street.
    • Replacement of damaged sidewalks and access ramps.
    • Removal and replacement of damaged trees.
