What comes next?

As the Downtown Roadway Project moves forward, here’s what residents and businesses can expect in the coming weeks:

• May 19: An approximate one-week closure at Canal Street for crosswalk upgrades and final water testing.

• June 9 and beyond: Rolling closures across Main Street for striping and one-way traffic changes. These will affect small segments at a time, with flaggers guiding traffic.

• Late June/July: Median work on 16th Street, requiring periodic lane closures.

Throughout the remainder of the project, the City will continue to provide updates through:

• Weekly social media videos with the project manager

• City Council/Board of Supervisors public comments

• Updated street signage and detour maps

• News interviews and press updates
